Leonardo Soto, timpani, was recently appointed Principal Timpanist of the Charlotte Symphony. He began his career as a substitute percussionist with the Santiago Philharmonic Orchestra and the National Symphony of Chile. Mr. Soto completed his education at Carnegie Mellon University as a student of Tim Adams.
