Claude Sim Concertmaster
Claude Sim, violin, is currently the Associate Concertmaster of the Colorado Symphony, and frequently performs as soloist with the orchestra. A graduate of Oberlin Conservatory of Music, his primary teachers were Greg Fulkerson, Almita Vamos and Roland Vamos. As guest first violinist and violist with the critically acclaimed Miró and Pacifica String Quartets, he has presented masterclasses and concerts across the United States. Additionally, he has performed as a principal player with the Baltimore Symphony, and is a substitute player with the Philadelphia Orchestra. Mr. Sim is the solo violinist of Extasis, the acclaimed Argentine tango ensemble based in Colorado. His upcoming projects include a symphonic tango music collaboration with bandoneon master Raul Juarena.
