FAQ's

When can I order tickets? Donors who contribute $500 and up receive priority seating. These ticket orders must be received by May 1. All Discount Subscription Season Passes (Full Subscription Season, Classical and Different Tempo) must be purchased by May 15. Non-subscription tickets may be ordered upon receipt of brochure and will be assigned in order of receipt after May 19. 

What do I wear to chamber music concerts? "Steamboat Summer Casual"

What happens if I lose my tickets? Call the Box Office (970-879-5056 x105) to make arrangements.

Is there dinner available? Are there drinks served? Steamboat Meat and Seafood Co. is the vendor for the Music Festival Park Café and provides light fare and beverages. Call 970-879-3504 for reservations.

Are there any discounted tickets? a) Senior Rate $3.00 discount off regular rate (age 65 and older) b) Pick 4 - $2.00 off each ticket c) Discount Passes until May 15.

How do I get the best seats? Most of our concerts feature Reserved Seating. If the concert is Open Seating, the earlier you arrive, the better seat you can choose.

If I have tickets and can’t make the concert, can I get a refund? Unfortunately, we do not offer any refunds or exchanges for any reason. You are welcome to give the tickets to other people or turn back into the box office as a donation to Strings.

Can I take pictures? No, pictures cannot be taken in the Pavilion during a performance.

What is the youngest age allowed into an evening concert? Children six years and older may attend any evening performance. Special Youth and Family Concerts are provided throughout the summer for our younger audience.

Is the Pavilion handicap accessible? The Strings Music Pavilion is Access Friendly. All programs, services and activities are operated in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Contact Strings at 970-879-5056, ext. 107 for more information.

Where do I park? Free Parking is conveniently located in the Skier Shuttle parking lot (Meadows Lot) across from the Strings Park.

When do lawn tickets go on sale? How much do they cost? Lawn seating goes on sale only if the concert is sold out and the weather forecast is good. Normally, these tickets will go on sale in person, only at the Box Office (no Internet orders) the day of the event at 9:00 am. We will update our website with this information.

How long is the performance? Youth concerts are 45 minutes and Family concerts are 60 minutes. Wednesday night classical concerts are 90 minutes, Saturday night classical concerts are 90 -120 minutes, and Different Tempo concerts are 90-120 minutes.

When do I applaud? Applause occurs at different times throughout a chamber music performance. It is customary to applaud when the musicians walk onto the stage and when they are finished with the entire piece.

What time do I need to be at the concert? All concerts start promptly at the hour indicated. Those arriving late to a Classical concert will be admitted at the completion of the first movement. Those arriving late to a Different Tempo concert will be admitted to a concert at the discretion of the artist. Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to a concert to allow ample time for parking and seating.
