Strings in the Mountains would like to thank and
acknowledge the following people who came together to create Moguls to
Mozart as you see it:
The story was first told with Strings in the Mountains
in December of 1994 as Mozart's Magical Life and Music, a concert in the
Holiday series "Moguls to Mozart".
Created by "Strings" music director
Katherine Collier and further developed and narrated by noted story teller
Mirabai.
The musical illustrations were performed by:
Katherine Collier,
piano (that's a wig she's wearing... ); Andres Cardenes,
violin ; Arturo Delmoni,
violin ; Yizhak Schotten,
viola ; Anne Martindale Williams,
cello;
Eddie Daniels,
clarinet; and Joe Williams,
trombone.
This Internet presentation was made possible through:
- The U S WEST FOUNDATION
- whose Arts and Culture grant enabled us to translate this program to
cyberspace and expand our concert hall world wide.
- Lee Dimmitt,
Computer WZ of Steamboat Springs, Colorado - who managed the project,
edited script, researched the story, converted music, developed graphics,
authored HTML documents, mentored the students and was a constant inspiration
in creating this project. . .
- Mike Wilson and assisting technicians of U S WEST
- who consulted on the project, contributed to the graphics and the authoring
of the HTML documents.
- Don Bertrand, artist and chef - who created
the original "Moguls to Mozart" graphic and contributed many
of the illustrations.
- Mike Garson, keyboardist extraordinaire
- who recorded all MIDI performances and had fun with his own jazz variations.
- Susan Wenzlau, technology coordinator,
and the students of Steamboat Springs Middle School - who researched and
expanded the program as they learned about the Internet and HTML documents.
- Colorado Mountain Net
- for providing the server which makes this program available to the world.
- The Steamboat Springs Technology Commission -
for their assistance in a mentorship program to implement this program
as a teaching tool in the schools.
The music which you heard on the MPEG format was recorded
by the following:
