ittle Wolferl loved music so much...
When he was eight, he started to write for other instruments as well.
He wrote a beautiful sonata for the flute AND the piano.
Press the button to hear the first movement:
that he never wanted to stop playing the piano.
Papa NEVER had to make him practice. In fact, Papa would have to force him to go out and play,
and even then, he only wanted to play games that included music.
Remember, music WAS a game to Mozart.
It seemed that everything about music came as second nature.

At that same age, he actually wrote a whole symphony.
He had not only mastered the composition of a song, but now he could coordinate different instruments playing different parts.
In his head, he could imagine the sound of one instrument joining in after another dropped out
and still others playing harmony and adding rhythm. Then he could put it all on paper with separate
pairs of lines for separate instruments all lined up so the various musicians could make beautiful music.
