Wolfie's Piano

The piano that Mozart played was a little different than the ones we know today. It made its sound by striking keys which made hammers strike single strings, but as you can see from the picture, it was smaller because it did not have as many keys.

It sounded a little like a harpsichord which plucks strings. In German it's called a clavier, in Italian a fortepiano, and in French a claveçin.
