Strings School Days is a music education program unlike any other in Northwest Colorado. Spanning two years, the program brings a professional musician to Steamboat Springs to present music workshops and conduct rehearsals alongside school music directors and students. Students perform a final evening concert at the end of the second year with the featured musician at the Strings Music Pavilion for parents, teachers, friends, students and community members. Through Strings School Days, student musicians learn new techniques from an energetic professional musician, perform in a concert hall setting and help keep music education in the forefront of our community.
This program is possible with the cooperation of our participating schools: Steamboat Springs High School, Steamboat Springs Middle School, Lowell Whiteman Primary School, Christian Heritage School, Moffat County High School, Hayden High School, Soroco High School and Soroco Middle School.
